You may be aware already that Abbey Fields has different types of Moths – see our Moth pages here – there are also many different types of butterflies.
Because Abbey Fields has a variety of different habitats, it is an excellent location in which you can see different Butterflies.
Some members of Friends of Abbey Fields have spend time each year observing butterflies in Abbey Fields and have record their sightings and share their results with Warwickshire Butterfly Conservation.
Their most recent report can be seen here.
In future we hope to be able to present images of these beautiful creatures so as to be able to help with their identification.
